I feel my style is in constant evolution but, as you can read in my About Me, I do like to keep my classic essence. So today I decided to tell you 5 Facts About my Style:

FACT 1

Style is not something that comes natural to me. Surprise, surprise, My Boring Wardrobe is called that name for a reason! I constantly need to put an effort into putting my outfits together, luckily in the end I’m happy with the results (most of the times, anyway!). For that reason comes Facts 2 & 3

FACT 2

I struggle not to wear the same pieces over and over. Truth is, we all have that tendency to go after the same tops and bottoms specially when we are in a rush. And if we don’t pay attention, we are wearing only a third of our wardrobe the entire time! What to do?

FACT 3

I keep looking for inspiration to dress up. Pinterest is my number one source (follow me if you haven’t already!), then Instagram and, of course, real people. Having the experience to live in a few different countries the past years was a precious addition to my “wardrobe culture”. I love discovering what people like to wear in each country and try to incorporate what I think fits my style.

FACT 4

When I don’t know what to wear, I wear black. When I don’t know what to wear, I wear the same pieces (hahaha!) but happens that I normally go for the black ones. You can’t go wrong with black right? Not so sure about that, but the little black dress or the black top and pants will leave you elegant and ready for many occasions. It’s easy because you can focus on the accessories and even makeup to add a pop of color and make your outfit more fun (or even stick to the basics). I personally find it easier to focus on choosing accessories rather than the outfit itself.

FACT 5

My wardrobe has been transitioning from colorful/ full os patterns (mostly flowers) to black, white and grey. I keep finding myself buying the same colors lately, and it’s probably because they are easier to combine. I also love camel and navy blue, so those 5 colors have been taking my wardrobe over the past year. And if you have a wardrobe full of staples than you can again play with accessories and hair and makeup. All about making life easier, right??

XX,

Ariella
