Hey, guys!! I’m enjoying my last days of vacation in Brazil and will fly back after my brother in law’s wedding this weekend. It’s summer and it’s so hot in here, but one thing I miss about Brazil is the sunset. You can actually appreciate the sun setting most days of the year. It’s breathtaking, it’s magical and special.
I’m not sure I’m ready to go back to our winter in London, but one thing’s for sure: I’m so ready for a haircut. And a good one. I’m always used to grow my hair long and then cut it short again, and I’ve been doing that for around eight years now. When I started the blog a year and a half ago my hair was already long, and I postponed the haircut I was eager to get in 2016. I believe it was a good decision because I was able to photograph a lot of looks and editorials with my long hair and I am happy with all the results. But I’m definitely not only my hair, and despite 9 out of 10 people saying I shouldn’t get my hair cut, I will (by the time I post this I will already have a new do!).
Some people hold on to their hair length, but that’s just not me. God only knows how long it takes me to manage my thick, curly, unruly and full of body hair that I’m so thankful for! I’m also very thankful for Brazilian hair treatments that make life easier most of the time, and that I usually get only when I’m here. The rest of the time is beloved hair dryer and flat iron, and all of my hair products that I’ve listed here and here (I confess there’s more, and I’ll share them soon!).
What better way to start the year than saying goodbye to my long hair? Hum… to be continued.
