It’s true that I do not use makeup or BBs, CCs or tinted moisturizers every day. I decided I wanted to change that and take advantage of a good BB cream to have anti-aging benefits, sunscreen and a bit of makeup all in one – and try something different from my all-time favorite Laura Mercier (tinted moisturizer).
After a good research I found what seems to be the perfect match: Estée Lauder Daywear BB, the anti-oxidant beauty benefit BB Creme with SPF 35. It is really packed with a lot of anti-oxidants and skin-friendly products, contains a great SPF and delivers oil-free hydration that helps controlling excess surface oil.
I got it on shade 1, light, (the lightest) and it matches well my skin tone, being almost a bit darker. So if you have very fair skin, this definitely won’t suit you. The texture seems a bit thick, but it spreads well and smoothes over skin, looking natural. My skin tends to the drier side during winter, so I feel like using a face oil or a heavier cream underneath the Daywear. The coverage is light to medium and It has a soft matte finish (although I’m more used to satin). And it stays all day, so extra points there.
I wouldn’t say it is a perfect fit for my skin type but it is manageable. But I would definitely say it’s a great BB Cream if you have normal to oily skin/ prone to breakout. I’m also curious to try their Daywear Advanced Multi-Protection, which seems to be more moisturizing, has antioxidants and UV defense but no color.
